Hey guys! Unfortunately I have some bad news. I went to a hip specialist this last Friday to try to figure out why I keep tearing my hip flexor muscle. The specialist immediately pointed out the pelvis/hip joint had not healed correctly from when I broke it about 2 years ago. The bone sticks down and hits on my femur which limits my range of motion which ultimately causes me to tear my hip flexor.
So the doctor says I need surgery to fix it. He also wants to remove a bunch of bone chips from my hip joint while he is in there. All the MRI’s and CT scans I had were from about a year to 2 years old so he wanted new ones to do mapping for surgery. So I had to get this MRI were they stick a huge need into my leg and hip joint and pump fluid into the joint so that they have a better image. The needle hurt so bad! Now that that’s over I am supposed to have surgery in about a month but maybe sooner. After that it’s a 3 month recovery. I will try to keep you updated and maybe some surgery pictures. Talk to you guys later!

ReplyDeleteI was really looking for some info about asr hip recall when I landed on your blog. So sorry to hear that you had to undergo hip surgery to fix it. Hopefully the recovery is swift and pain free.
