Hi guys,
Me and my girl visited "Downtown NA" AKA Newton-Abbot for Lemonfest last weekend and had a lush time meeting the crew! From where I live in *K-town* AKA Kettering to the Odessa neck of the woods was a pesky five and a half hour drive, but let me tell you now it was worth it!! When we got there I dropped all our stuff off at the gate with Jema while I parked the car and when I got back we went to get in only to be told that we weren't allowed to bring in our enormous cool box of joy and sausage rolls or our MASSIVE amount of STRONGBOW!!! So it was another trek back to the car with a heavy cool box and a hefty bag for me :(
When we finally got into the festival we met Brian (one of the directors of Odessa). He is a super cool guy and instantly made us feel at home. It was like we had known him forever when infact it was the first time we'd met!! Also met the lovely Karen, another member of the Odessa squad and her and Jem had a good girly giggle. I was also excited to meet Dom as we have been emailing for a year now but have never met and now we have I feel like even more of a team member. He is a great guy and treated us well.
Had good old British weather all day long - hot then cold, sunshine then rain. Also saw a lush double rainbow and that's gotta be lucky!! Spent lots of time waiting in the ridiculous line for the beer tent who must have made a killing!! We sipped cider and black with the Odessa crew and had some super amazing pizza for dinner!!

Soon enough the evening rolled around and me and my lady had a bit of a dance in the moonlight to the headline act which was.................wait for it............. TOPLOADER!! How romatic haha!! Jema was a FOOL and lost her camera, but luckily later on found it by kicking it across the grass and was like "look I found my camera WOOOO!!!" So there was the usual festival antics but a very happy ending so all is well :)
The sleep in our brand spanking new pop up tent was a nightmare. We both woke up feeling about 70 years old and aching all over. Definitely pitched it in the wrong place too. There was a girl next door who seemed to think she was the new Britney and would not stop singing!! Oh and the portaloos were rank!! I will never understand how people manage to poo all over the seat. I must be missing a trick!

Overall had a lush weekend with my girl meeting the Odessa family :) I was gutted not to be riding because of my shoulder but was super happy to be there supporting the team so thanks for inviting us down guys!! Can't wait to do it all over again sometime soon I hope :)
